The many faces

of our pretty little girl ~ this past June 24th marked our two-year-anniversary of traveling down to Guatemala to be reunited forever with our Isabelle Kate.

Here she was that day, all tuckered out in our hotel room after a very long morning ~ look at the hairbrush in her hand (she is still 100% obsessed, ha!).  Besides hugging and kissing and ooh-ing and ah-ing, there was the crucial issue of putting some of MY clothes on MY baby.  I'd gushed over this sweet little outfit in the store earlier that year, but I'd also fretted because it was size 12 months, and as the months had worn on while waited and waited, Isabelle of course was growing like crazy.  But God gave me this delight of my heart, and I heard Him speak clearly to my heart that day as I stood there in the store, holding the little outfit in my hands as tears flooded my eyes, and I kid you not, the Lord of all Lords did indeed tell me, in the sweetest, most gentle voice, "BUY IT."  I quickly placed it in my cart and never looked back.  I planned to dress her in that the very first day I saw her again, though I was prepared for it not to fit well- or at all- so I'd decided that I would simply donate it to someone down there...but it did fit!  It fit perfectly and it was just the most precious thing in the world to me!
Okay, so clearly I needed to learn a thing or two about proper headband placement, but I was a complete novice in that area, and she is still the most beautiful little girl in the world!

And here she is NOW...

We're so thankful to God for bringing us to each other- we love you Sweetie Girl!!

She is so photogenic (is that how it's spelled??). What a total cute. I can't believe it's only been two years. I'm sure it's flown by compare to how long you waited for her!
