I can't believe Christmas was over a week ago! We had tons of fun with family and friends. Just look how gorgeous these kiddos of ours are all dressed up for church!
Okay, so imagine some brown shoes on those silly feet, ha!
We did something new for New Year's Day and it was a lot of fun. I wrote out an activity for every hour throughout the day, placed them all in envelopes, and let one of the kids open them up at the designated time.
Some of our surprises included making ice cream sundaes for lunch, going sledding and the swimming, and playing Wii Dance together. There were just a couple of more serious items, such as writing a note of thanks to a veteran and dropping off some things at the Salvation Army, which weren't met with quite the same enthusiasm as the "fun" stuff. But we did it all together, and it was a terrific day!
As shown below, some participants were having themselves a little moment... ;)
It was a ginormous hill, and it was SOOOOOO cold! The wind would blow snowdust straight into your face- brrrrr!!!!!!
And of course, I had to carry on the tradition of buying a new house plant and flowers for 2013...
Bill was so kind and got me these petite roses! So pretty!
Well, the new year is off and running with a bright start! Happy 2013!
