Christmas Cheer in our Home

I've had to keep things in our home fairly simple this year because of this little one...

...who is into (and on top of) EVERYTHING!

It's a good thing he's so stinkin' cute!

I like to mix things up each year, so this year I'm playing with gold and silver in our entryway.

 Ooh la la, racy picture there, I know!  :)

There was a beautiful gold, shimmery bow hanging from the picture frame, but yup, you guessed it, the little fur ball won't keep his paws off it!  There have already been a few casualties, and I'm not looking to encourage more mishaps.  I couldn't even place the Santa by the edge where I wanted him, for fear he would, you know, get whacked.

I buy everything on super clearance after Christmas and store it for the coming year (no people, not the candy canes ~ that's just gross!).

I buy large floral picks and take them all apart for the pieces so they fit neatly into my small vases and pitchers.  A few go a long way, which is great.

And the holly leaves and such are all rejects- I keep the falling off bits of garland in a ziploc bag from year to year and scatter them about around candles, table tops, and even around the books on our bookshelves ~ free, green, and pretty.  What more could you ask for?

here comes trouble

Pardon Isabelle's ballet class bag and lunch box, but they're usually there anyway.
We girls keep our pretty winter things in pretty baskets...the boys keep theirs...elsewhere.  :)
I think Isabelle Kate needs a bigger one!

i have no idea why this came out so dark...the front of the house is the sunniest, and in the dead of winter, that light is awesome!

And my favorite part???
Every time I come down the stairs, these cutie faces greet me!
